Harry Styles' musical taste is a gift to music enthusiasts, Dads, impressionable kids

I imagine it this way: I say to my kids, "You know you should really listen to Odessey and Oracle by the Zombies, it's one of the most pivotal musical accomplishments of the 60s. And while you're at it, Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel is right up there too."

My recommendation would be met with a predictable array of "Dad, you don't know what you're talking about" to "OK Boomer" (even though I am not a boomer). I may have also recommended Bill Withers, Early McCartney, and Kinks nuggets too, to no avail.

But here comes Harry Styles to do all the heavy lifting for me. The "Harry Styles Selects!" playlist that recently dropped on streaming platforms is fantastic top to bottom and has become the go-to quarantine playlist here at my house.

Oh and by the way, he and his band has covered Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer damn near note for note too.
