Milwaukee’s maker community loves solving problems. So it makes perfect sense that the nearly 400 members of Milwaukee Makerspace are donating gobs of time and talent to engineer safe and efficient personal protective gear for healthcare professionals who are working on the front lines during the Coronavirus outbreak. Using 3D printing technology, the makers have delivered nearly 4,500 multiple-use face shields to date. According to Urban Milwaukee, Milwaukee Makerspace has raised close to $20,000 to pay for fabrication, production, and distribution of the face shields. More funding is needed—support the Milwaukee Makers GoFundMe campaign today.
